When you visit Bhutan, it is literally like stepping back in time. Sure, in many ways the whole of the population is in on the game, but it's a game they play honestly and proudly. Despite the inevitable incursion of modernity into their lives, they hold onto many of the things they have held dear for centuries. And out away from the major towns, life really is just as it has been for centuries: the fields are still plouged, the villagers still attend the temples to pray, most still wear their traditional dress.

This is one of three books.
